Portraits are fairly standard. It is okay if they are a bit repetitive, as that is the nature of the image type.

[Alt-text] A portrait of Vilhjalmar Stefansson. He looks into the camera with a neutral expression. He has a medium-light skin tone with dark, wavy hair that is parted down the middle and dark, and hooded eyes. He wears a high-collared white shirt under a black suit jacket with a satin-like lapel.

Author photos are very similar to Portraits. Keep it simple and direct. If there is something that stands out, make sure to include it! Some Author's get playful and creative with their author photos.

[Alt-Text] Peter Mansbridge faces forward and tilts his head slightly as he looks off to the right of the camera. He is balding with short white hair at the sides and has a light skin tone. He wears a black suit jacket and white dress shirt. He has a tiny flower pin and a small microphone on his lapel. He appears to be an older adult in his fifties or sixties.

This following example is a more creative author photo.

[Alt-Text] Michael Moore is fully submerged in a colourful ball pit with only the top of his face peeking up. He has a light skin tone and wears a beige baseball cap with text that reads: "Lust Lizard". His wide blue eyes peek out from under the cap.
